Delfgaauw, Gerardus, Johannes, born in 1882 in Monster and died in 1947 in Den Haag.. Delfgaauw was more than just a seascape painter and particularly favoured landscapes of places reclaimed from the sea, flat areas (polders) scattered with windmills, advancing as far as the dykes, the scenesdotted with little harbours and shores.
