Albert Verhoesen Netherlands 1806 - 1881 Albertus Verhoesen, born in Utrecht in 1806. Died in Utrecht in 1881. Student of B. van Straaten, J. van Ravenzwaay en P.G. van Os. Lived some time together with B.C. Koekkoek. He lived and worked in Utrecht, Hilversum and Amersfoort. In Amersfoort, Verhoesen was appointed city painter. In addition to landscapes with cattle, animal stables, Albertus Verhoesen also painted a considerable number of paintings with poultry. A. Verhoesen taught D. van Lokhorst and his son, J.M. Verhoesen. Exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague and Leeuwarden. Works in possession of the ‘Centraal Museum’ in Utrecht, Museum ‘Boijmans Van Beuningen’ in Rotterdam and the ‘Rijksprentenkabinet’ in Amsterdam.
