Description
Soren Bjulf studied figure painting in Paris and Dusseldorf. When he returned to his native country his eminent artistic skills propelled him into being one of his generation’s most popular artists exhibiting widely both nationally and internationally. He painted portraits, landscapes and architectural motifs, but his signature motif was the picturesque markets of Copenhagen. Similar works by Bjulf have been increasingly in demand on the international art market resulting in auction records in excess of $ 13,800 (Christies, London, 1988).
