Jan te Wierik (Hengelo, 1954) was a colorful, very special man and a passionate artist. He was self-taught and became known as abstract expressionist painter. He was also a meritorious poet, sculptor and musician. Unfortunately Wierik January to 48 at early age of deceased. The intention of his work remained unchanged but the expressiveness of the figures shown in this way was reinforced. Despite the more obvious configuration still worked from the immediate emotion, by impulsive acts. He seldom worked with a preconceived plan.
